I know the answer. First you use the fish.(sushi) its a good i dea to have two badges called the ice power badge.(lets you step on fire enemies) and the fire shield.(makes fire attaks do 1 damage less) also use the chill out star spirit. Use sushi's squirt attak. If you have it water block *(sushi attak) on mario. It helps. I'm not sure if this will help.

ah the BOSS Lava Piranha at Lava Lava Island right??
this one should be good for killing him... use sushi no need for fire shields or whatever... the key character for defeating Lava Piranha is Sushie... this is how it goes
first of all... you should upgrade sushie to her second level... her Super-rank... you'll unlock her ability where you can attack ALL ENEMIES i think it is called Tidal Wave... this might take a lot of your FP points but you will dish out lava piranha in no time... after dishing him out... he'll return right? but he is much easier than before...
again... Use Sushie's ability... called Tidal Wave or whatever... just make sure you use it to it's maximum potential.. dishing out up to 10HP per strike... or if you like.. you can use Star Storm.. but i suggest you should use your Star Energy for skills such as Refresh because i think that Sushie's Tidal Wave ability costs 8FP per use but it is worth it if you hit the buttons right... good luck to you...

You should use sushie. Upgrade her to ultra rank then use the tidal wave move. After that use the refresh star spirit. keep repeating this until you win.

let me correct my self... you should upgrade sushie to her ULTRA RANK that should unlock her Tidal Wave Ability... i think that there are two super-boxes or whatever they are called, what i mean is the boxes that you hit so you can upgrade you party members... one is at the yoshi land.. in the forest... use that upgrade for sushie... then.. another one of that box is in the lava dungeon.. use that to upgrade sushie to ultra rank.. that should do it.. good luck again!
