In the very first level of the story mode, the year 1990, how do I unlock the door with the #2 ab.. -- Game Help, Questions and Answers

I have searched around that area for awhile now and cannot open the damn door anywhere. It is the area with the broken generators near it. I go to unlock the door with the mutants behind it in at control room above the generators, then approach doors 1,2, and 3. I can open 2. Help me please. ThanksScott

Are you playing on easy, cause if u are u cant open that door at all. Only in normal and hard are u able to open it.
