First have both Greymon and Shellmon in the city, then with a virus type digimon, go to grey lord's mansion to the place where myotismon usually is. he will not be there. try where you first saw him and he won't be there either. try to exit the mansion but devimon will stop you. after he leaves, the barrior will be gone

If you want to get into Grey Lord's fortress you must have a Numemon. If you don't there is no possible way to get into Grey Lord's castle. Have Numemon strong so that if you battle anyone you will have a good chance of winning. Good luck. It will work. Trust me on this one. I am an expert. I'vbe beaten this game 8 times already. its easy just get a virus type like numemon but i suggest you dont because there is pretty strong digimon in there so get someone like devimon or if you are a hard out trainer like me you will use a numemon & if you meen something else just get the key from the fireplace its as simple as that
