Wait a minute, after you already pass can you just do stages 1,2, and 3 and unlock someone?

Must always use Sonic as leader and Tails as partner. Knuckles-Zone3 Act3
Amy-Zone4 Act3
Cream-Zone6 Act3

To unlock Amy you must beat zone 4 act 3 with Sonic as leader. To unlock Cream you must beat zone 6 act 3 with sonic as leader. To unlock Knuckles you must be using Sonic as leader finish stage 2 act 3 and beat Gemerl.
