Another way is to pick a character who has a constant running attack combo (such as Raiden, Cyrax, Scorpion, Smoke, Reptail.) Because these short combos will temporaly paralyze Motaro so he won't be able to move. which is really good if you have unlimited run feature turned on. So you can just constantly run toward him and do a combo. this way you can also rack up on the number of hits per combo.
