The Mirror Shield is found in Turtle Rock, you can't get it from the faerie.
You don't need all 6 crystals, just #5 and #6. It's possible to exit each dungeon after getting the items, then come back and wreak havoc with superior weapons, defeating bosses with ease - The Helmasaur King goes down with a single Silver Arrow.
Make sure not to jump off any ledges when you have the Super Bomb, either. And it will only damage the pyramid; it's not a weapon and cannot hurt anyone.

you have to complete level six or seven before you can go into zeldas house in the dark world then they will offer to sell you the bigger bomb for 100 rupies...

NEVER DASH OR IT SELLF-DESTRUCTS
LET IT TAG ALONG WITH YOU BRING IT TO THE CRACK AND DASH AWAY SO IT BLOWS THE WALL TO PEICES. GO INSIDE AND THROW YOUR BOW,SWORD(GOTTA BE A LVL.3 SWORD),AND YOUR RED SHIELD
A FAT FAIRY GIVES YOU SILVER ARROW (NEEDED TO KILL GANON) tHE BEST SWORD IN THE GAME (LVL.4) AND A MIRROR SHIELD (BLOCKS LASERS)
