My shields are critical, how do I repair them. I've tried to go to a shipyard but my ship doesn't appear on the list. I have three 1MW shields in my freight but can't work out how to install them - please help me :)

Sounds like u might have a glitch in the game.
try pressing f to go to ur freight menu and see if ur sheilds are there or not.
If they are it should either say install or eject them so u should already have them installed in which case u have to wait a bit and they revive themselves!!
But sounds like its a glitch i would blast it lol

Also, going through some clouds and nebulae will force your shields to drop, thus causing a critical message..
As an after thought, ensure that your cargo bay isn't open too. Otherwise, they regenerate automatically. The only thing shipyards will fix is hull damage on ships.
