Back in 1000 A.D. in Medina Village, there appear many monsters and stuff. The one question I haev is what is that blue thing in Forest Ruins in the northeast? Does it have any purpose in the game or is it there just for looks? please help me

well, you first search the entire castle untiol you find marle in the queens room, then go to the cathedrel in the nearby forest and destrot eveery demon or monter in that whole place.

If you're talking about the ruins on the map where a blue pyramid is, then you have to have Marle's pendant fully charged from the Mammon Machine in the dark ages.
