I have basically used a hex workshop to edit the hex value to reflect the number of credits that I want, and saved the game, but when I load the save game X2 just crashes, does anyone know how I can stop it from crashing?

ive had this before, i think all it is is that youve changed the wrong value, ie say you have 5000 credits, you search your save game for the hex equiv of 5000 you may get 50+ diferent places where 5000 comes up.
put simply keep altering your money in game by selling/buying stuff, then try each time to find only one value in the file, eventually youll get lucky and theyll be only one value in the savegame. then you will be absolouty sure you have the correct value.
also another prob could be the value entered, i think the game gets unstable when you edit it to have over 999,999,999 cedits.
