Get the Poke flute from old man from Lavender Town after beating Team Rocket there. Then, play it in front of snorlax and either kill it, run or capture it.

Get the pokeflute and play it in front of him. Once you do that you will have to fight him. Beat him and it will say that snorlax is gone. And he is.

in lavender town save a guy he give pokéflute play on it he attack kill or catch him and he is gone
