How do you get beat thecaterpiller to get to the red bean?

Jump on each of the little sections of the catipiller. DO NOT hit the head. After you hit all the parts, the catipiller will turn yellowish green. Now you hit the head. Eventually, the catipiller will turn red again. When this happens reapeat this process and you will win.
