Concentrate on the three small bugs that come out of him. Don't hit them when thier spikes are out. Wait till they retract them. When the do retract the just go up and hit them.
Anyway, once thier out of the way the plant will stop moving and kinda turn its head up. It will also open two leaves for you to climb up and smack him in the head. So do so. Repeat this three times and he will die.
FYI, After he dies jump on his head several times to get the Precurser Orbs.

kenbreegle he's talkin about the dude at rock village the guy to get to volcanic crater.anyway you dodge the boulder that he shoots and then grab the blue eco and run across the bridge avoiding the rocks. get the yellow eco and shoot his ass. keep shooting until it drops on his head and then RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!jump on plat forms the do it again.this time he shoots rocks faster and the bridge ia broken up. then soot him and run after the boulder hits his head.the third time dodge rocks that go even faster. damb he wants to kill you!the the bridge is kinda hard to get past this time.as usual shoot him but dont run the boulder will explode on his head and he dies in his lava tomb.oh!and by the way if you dont shoot him fast enough he will throw the boulder and you will have to do the process again.
