First go to the entrance w/ the stump and change it to Summer, go up the vine.
Next you must go to the left of the screen you got to and climb down the vine on that screen. Then you will see a stone soldier sitting there, push it any way you want (trust me it won't come alive) and stairs will appear, but you won't be able to reach them. So go back to the stump and change the Season to Winter. A tree standing there should open a path, take it. Now if you did all that you should see the stone soldier the stairs AND a big pathway of snow, climb on the snow and go up the stairs. Now you should be on the other side of your problem. Push the lower two stone soldiers (these won't come to life either) onto the ice. Then hop on the stump and change the Season to Spring. The two stone soldiers should have sank into the water making it possible to continue. Then this next part can only be done if you have a shield. Change the Season to Fall, and go right (you should still be at the screen with the two soldier's in the water.) Then you will see the three mushrooms and two Dark Nuts. Destory the Darknuts (optional) and get rid of the Mushroom(s). If you go down the stair there will be a Deku shub there. Use the shield to deflect his attack and when he looks dizzy talk to him and he will say this:

"I surrender! In return, I offer my advice! If you are lost in the woods, travel west, then south, east and north, taking each step in a warmer season."

Then exit and continue to were you haven't traveled before. If you continue you will find two more mushrooms and a stump, rid the mushrooms and continue, that is all I will give you. If you want more, go to How do you change the Seasons in the Lost Woods,
