I have already beaten Resident Evil once and when you do finally finish the game, and it does take a while, you get a closet key to use the next time you play. I cant figure out what it is for. Does anyone know?

The closet key is to a secret door that is located in the room with the statue holding the map in its bowl. It is actually a room with new costumes for your character. The hidden door is the tall vertical painting behind the movable dresser. Stand in front of it and 'use' the key to get in.
