I tried the Missingno. cheat but it didn't work.What do u think im doing wrong?

If you are on red/blue versian first you must first watch the the coffie man show you how to catch a weedle then fly to cinabar island and surf up and down the right hand coast.
If you are on yellow versian you havve to do the ditto trick with a special stat of 31, 32, 50, 52, 56, 61, 62, 63, 67, 68, 69, 79, 80, 81, 86, 87, 94, 95, 115, 121, 122, 127, 134, 135, 137, 140, 146, 156, 159, 160, 161, 162, 172, 174, 175, 181, 182, 183 or 184.
