O.K, here is the thing. Im a big Final Fantasy fan, and I just got started with the 7th one, but it keeps freezing up! Could someone please tell me how to fix it up so i can get on with the story?

you can clean it with rubbing alcohol if that dosen't work you screwed

Regardless of how much of a "big Final Fantasy fan" you are you cannot play the game with a messed up disk and/or Playstation. Just like you would for any game, check to see if it's scratched and if it is then you're out of luck. If the game isn't scratched then it may be your system. Try playing another game and see if the same type of thing happened. If it does then there's your problem. You can of course try to "clean" the disk with a soft cloth or something but if it's really scratched this won't be helpful.

im know a lot(everything)of this game and if the disk is scratched it's over(dragoon blablabla is right)
