I had trouble on this orgionally but found an easy way to do it. At the start build farms on every available spot leaving 1 where your heroes start to build your armoury. Concentrate on getting your farms up 1st once this happens churn archers out till your archery upgrades, now build nothing but elven archers. Send all new archers to the right of the fortress where your heroes spawn and line the innermost walls only leave nobody outside this area. Once you have maxed your command points with archers (u should just do this by the time they are lining up at your walls) concentrate on getting the upgrades begin with the fire arrows as this building willl be the 1st to be destroyed then get your armout etc. Once you have built your army and got upgrades start upgrading your men fire arrows 1st starting with the elves then whatever order u wish after that. I wont lie you have to be very quick and orderly for this to work the sec the game begins you should be building your farms and building more the sec u have the cash, dont bother with horses they would be usefull but take too much cash early on to make good use of them. Any inf you get at the start send them down the bottom of the map to die and any bonus inf you save as they run to the fortress get the cash reward and send them too die aswell you need the command points for archers. Most of if not all of your archers will have fire arrows by the time they scale your walls and you will be getting the rest of the upgrades while they attack but dont worry nothing will get up that ramp it being the only way to your men (keep gates closed at all times unless they use battering ram then let him in to die to save your gate then close again It may take a couple of goes but you will get the timing and order right and you will have shed loads of veteran troops at the end.

In answer to your question about getting more command points this is possible to a degree. Most units consist of 5 individual men or horses, take them into battle and wait till half or more of them are dead the unit will still live but will only have 1-2 men or horses your command points will have reduced also to reflect this. You then build more units quick as you can to use the free points and then heal the injured units. As the units spawn fresh men or horses your command limit goes beyond the maximum it wont let you buy beyond max but it cant stop your men healing. I managed to get 380 command when the limit was 300 lol

just build bare archers, put them on the walls, then build a small fore of horses to run every1 down once they breach the wall or climb up the ladders because horses can go on the walls. basically at the end i had to ru nbecause the enemy eventaly breaks thru but u hafat keep like legolas and run from end to end till the time runs out if the breachd ure hole base so he dustn die and the mission istill accomplishd cos legolas is still alive

i have no cheat for this all you need to do is buy elfs with flaming arrows n put them on the main wall then spread ur characters out along there to deal with the ladders when they start building the bolt throwers retreat to the second level n put ur men on that wall and guard the enterence with ur heros wait until the reenforcements then wipe there base out
