first you need the sliph scope. you get it after defeating giovani in celadon... then go to the pokemon tower in lavender city and complete it by getting to the top and "rescuing" mr fuji he will then give you the poke flute!!! hope this helped!

go 2 celledon city and beat giovvoni. he will giv u a silph scope. go 2 lavender and go al the way up the stairs. wen u get 2 the last staircase, u will encounter a lvl 30 marrowak. dont even try 2 catch it cus all ur pokeballs will miss it. when u kill him (note:if u run away u will step back and he will still b infront of the stairs)go up the stairs and go north untill u meet mr. Fuji. u will go 2 his house and u will recieve a pokeflute.

To get the pokeflute, you go inside the big building in Lavender town and find the stairs on the right. You will battle Gary,Channlers,and cubone's mother.Youll need the silph scope to see marowak. You cannot catch it because it is a ghost. once you defeat marowak,cubones mother, you see the stairswhere you find a manand hell take you to his house and you get pokeflute.
