You get Gustafa to like you by giving him ores and flowers. He's always up for new material, unless it has anything to do with fish or fishing. He's also into unsual old statues.

Give him a toy flower every day. He might like other flowers but I am not sure he will like them as much as the toy flowers. After you have done this for a while you might have gotten the blue feather or you might have one already. If you have given him toy flowers for at least one season give him the blue feather and if he doesn't take it then try giving him toy flowers for five more days or more.
