You have to
1.Find place, where you can "stomp" on the ground(remember to check out Scrat´s potrait), and press triangle button continiously, until lava increases a bit.
2.Then do this again with another place and continue this until you can reach 3 holes, where comes water. Go on one of them and press triangle button and Scrat will sit on it.
3.Then choose the power(like in the forest, where you was helped by the Fructose Bear) and if the power is good, you´ll drop beside a block, and around it is a rope. Destroy the block by stomp attack(X,X,square) and one of Sid´s 3 ropes is out of the way. Repeat this two times and Sid will fall on an "island" and you get out of volcano. NOTE: The lava doesn´t increase continiously.
