When I play the "get character" mode, after beating Mario the game always skips over the others and goes straight to Bowser. How do I get those other characters? When we bought the game used we had those characters, but my husband thought it would be fun to start over. I've played the "get character" mode twice thru with no luck.

to get donkey kong, you need 30 stars in the ring mode. for maple, you need 50 birdie badges.(you get one for each birdie on each hole. you cant get two birdie badges on the same hole.) For metal mario, you need all 108 birdie badges. Hope that helped.

HERES THE EASYIEST WAY TO GET ALL CHACTERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! At the PRESS START screen press the following with D pad. down-down-left-left-left-right-right-right-C-Down-C-Down-C-Left-C-Left-C-Left-C-Right-C-Right-C-Right.
