If your talking about the Chopper at the end of the Carrier level you have to first set the explosive charge on the back of the ship and "run like hell" to the front of the carrier before it goes off or you will take damage. Next as the chopper aproaches try to hit it with the rocket launcher (make sure you got the ammo in the room on the top deck). You will need to hit it at least 5 or 6 times (maybe 7) before it will fly off and crash. Make sure you use the cover (crates and ship masts) to keep from getting shot up by the chopper. Also, do it quickly because the ship is sinking pretty fast!

I find the best thing to do after planting the explosives is to run directly off the BACK of the ship into the water (watch your breath). From there swim to the island with the wrecked ship and use it as cover. You can take your time this way without risk of getting wet (which prevents you, but not Hawk, from shooting). As soon as possible use the binoculars to get a lock on the helicopter so you can follow its movements while you're hidden.

From this point it's just a long cat and mouse game to hit the helicopter with missles. If you run out of rockets you can use any other gun to damage the heli but it will take a very long time (just get good with the rockets, it takes 7). Hawk cannot be killed while in the heli copter, so just focus on hitting the helicopter square in the engines till it flies off and goes down.

Remember to go back and forth behind the cabin of the wrecked ship, it's too long to run around it all the way, just stay at one end and go back and forth.

You just need to blast it [with a rocket launcher] , hide , blast it , hide , etc etc etc.

Make sure you have the OICW and grenades for it. Get to the area where you have to plant the explosives, and make sure you're facing the right side of the bridge structure. Plant the explosives and WALK to the front (bow) of the ship (going up the steps a little). Once the charge goes off RUN down the starboard (right) side of the ship (the same side you're on). Climb up to the stack and hunker down. Crow will fly around shooting at you. Switch to grenades and keep punching them into the door of the helo. If you do it right, it will only take 9-10 grendades. If not, try to put some short bursts into him (aim for the door he's in). You should splash him after a while. Keep crouched down the whole time, scooting around the stack for cover, and only shoot when you have a good bead on him. He'll fire a long burst or two, then pause. That's when you can pop a cap at him. It takes a little practice (I had to reload 5-6 times), but you can do it.

The jeeps and boats are never availible when I tried it, long before I found this place.

I got past this level by planting the bomb, swimming to the strip of land near the cliff and hiding in the bushes. Prone, he won't see you and won't shoot, unless you shoot rockets.

if you are talking about the hilicopter you ca destroy it by firing him with the cruger machinegun it will take 4-5 clips to destroy it

Theres a vulcan minigun on one of the platforms on top of the tower(one closest to cabin of carrier) 1st take the guy out whos on it .Make a mad dash to it shoot the chopper down its that easy(not quite but deffinately doable)then hide under platform and take out the rest of them while you have cover.

The method that worked for me :
Plant explosive, jump into the water , swim to the shore on the right , see that tree & bush. Hide in the bush , DO NOT use the rocket launcher but use the other weapons. Crow will not notice you at all so that pot shots at him till u see the chopper spewing smoke. Finish him off with the rocket launcher when you've ran out of ammo (that is if he the chopper is not down by then).

Onc you reach the ladder that taks you to the top deck reday a flashbang and climb the ladder. Once you get to the top deck go prone and toss it in the direction the helo comes from (way before you see it) It will blind the gunner but not the pilot who will fly near you with a blind gunner who ou can take out if your carefull.

the best way is to jump off the carrier, swim to the other side of the ship (the side with the boat on it), aim at the ropes tied to the boat and shoot, the boat shound fall and all you have to do is swim over to it and get in it

I'm new to this game and all i had to do is shoot the gunner and the chopper then went off and was gone. My problem was after i killed everyone i could get the boat down, tho i'll try shooting the chainsa as was said above.

or u can stand ontop of the cabain of the boat because that part of the ship does not go below te water

Guys..... there's a much easier way for those who are frustrated (like I was).

Before you even get to the carrier (or you can just jump off the carrier BEFORE you plant the explosives and swim back from where you came from), go to the place on the island in a jeep where those two guys were standing and where you first see the carrier from land. Now after you take out anyone who's around (including the guys standing on the carrier, if you haven't already killed them), get out of the jeep and find out where below is the little piece of land that you can swim to from the carrier. Now get back in the jeep and drive straight for the edge above the strip of land. Right when you get close jump out of the jeep allowing the jeep to make the 10-12 foot drop onto that strip of land.

Now go back to the carrier, plant the explosives and jump off the BACK of the carrier. Swim to your jeep sitting there waiting for you and show Crow some .50 calibre fun.

I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. ALL U HAVE TO DO IS CROUCH BESIDES THE CRATE TO YOUR LEFT,PRESS THE RIGHT MOUSE BUTTON TO AIM AT THE MAN IN THE COPTER FIRING THE GUN AND KILL HIM BEFORE HE KILLS U.

Pick up the rocket laucher from the bridge. Plant the explosive at the back of the ship and run to the front. After the explosion run to the middle of the ship and jump up on top of the bridge. Hide behind what looks like a radio mast and wait for the 'copter to come in close then rocket him a good'un. Repeat as nessesary. Thats how i did it (eventually!).
