Firstly, I'll say a good bunnyhop takes weeks of pracitce.

Simply, you need to start running in a straight line. When you get to a long hall, or a long straight, jump and start slowly turn 30 degrees to the left. When you land, immediately jump again and turn 30 degress to the right. This is just the mouse movements. You'll notice that while you do this holding the forward key, you have next to no control over your turning. This is where the trick of bunnyhopping comes in.

While you are jumping along turning left then right you should NOT be holding forward, but instead, while turning left - hold strafe left, and while right - strafe right.

Like I said, this technique takes practise and is hard to master. Timing of the jump is the hardest part - without perfect jumping you will never get full speed as the ground friction slows you down. This is where binding the mousewheel to +jump comes in handy. This makes the timing less of an issue so you can concentrate on the technique.

man some of the post are retarded, in 1.6 i used a bhop scripted that looked like jump's; alias +jumpz "alias _special jumpz;jumpz"

but the fps thing was not in it. all had to do was hold the key down, but all i did to make my own was bind space to +jump.. well the script i used is this;

that script makes it incredibly easy and all you have to do is jump, and strafe left or strafe right and just alternate each jump and you don't have to mouse your crosshair to go faster, find a hill like in de_dust and you will fly lol, i've done it online and it works awesome. if you don't believe me go and try it on a lan game or something, it works all you'll need is just same timing for jumping as you would need in tfc.

The thing that jump wrote is a script.... that doesn't work. I write scripts for CS if anyone wants some. But that script you wrote jump doesn't do anything, I can tell just by reading it. I'm trying to learn to Bhop to.. I'm jus trying to get a feel for it now. But these techniques labelled work. You just have to practise. If you really want a script for it mail me or something and I'll work on it. Otherwise I'm gonna do it the old fashioned way. Damn.. I don't even use the scripts I write anyways.

And another thing... the "cheats" listed at the top don't work unless your an admin and have sv_cheats activated.... even still increasing your movement speed doesn't help.. it more or less takes the place of BHopping....
