Has anyone else had a problem with the game sticking and repeting in the crypt at the monk

it's not sticking and repeating. pay attention to what he's saying, and look for the option that says goodbye. press X slowly, pay attention to the options you get while talking to him, choose the one that says goodbye, or I need to rest, or anything other than the first option.
