Yes, I would say she is good, especially in multi player roles she can heal not only herself, but other players. Later in the game after she has finished collecting the artifacts for Jarek, go to the church and the priest will give her a special mission once she has completed this she is rewarded with five additional skills. Also during the course of the game you take money to the priest as donations and you receive additional experience points, as do all the characters with different allies. Monk with monk, Dwarve with Dwarve, etc..

The dark elf monk is quite good to fight with especially without a weapon but she doesn't have much magic so if you prefer using magic to just whacking the monsters it's probably better to use a different character!
